5 Tips for Plus Size Packing
5 Tips for Plus Size Packing
by Christie Denson
Just days until Turkey Day. Are you one of the estimated 51 million Americans who travel this Thanksgiving?
Whether by land, air and or sea, pack for your holiday travel with some strategy this year by finding those versatile pieces in your wardrobe that will help you look good and feel your best AND save precious space in your bag.
(And because finding anything over a size 16 on the fly because you forgot ain’t gonna cut it.)
Here are 5 tips from Juno Active for your packing list this season:
- Avoid extra baggage fees and pack items that have versatility. A soft workout tee can be washed and double as a layering piece under a cardigan or jacket. Bonus if it’s made from quick-dry fabric, in case you have a stressful family gathering ahead (I’m just sayin’).
- Consider fabrics that travel well. Select tops and slacks that have wrinkle-free fabric and can stand up to being tossed around in your bag. Pro tip: Roll your clothes vs. fold. It saves space and prevents wrinkles.
- Use small accessories to change the look of an outfit. Our Softwick dress with a cute scarf and boots is perfect for Thanksgiving dinner, but instantly becomes lounge wear for that coveted post-turkey nap.

- Consider your destination. Does your hotel have a hot tub? Don’t miss the chance for a relaxing soak because you forgot your swimsuit.
- Make some room in your suitcase for your activewear as you commit to make time for activity in your travels. Roll a sports bra and tuck into your sneakers and plan for a quick walk or some stretching. Those endorphins will improve your mood and ensure you have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
